ON MOTIONS DULY MADE, SECONDED AND CARRIED, IT WAS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Motion D5-06-01 "That the Agenda be adopted as amended."
Motion D5-06-02 "That the Minutes for the meeting of 2-4 February, 2007 and the Teleconference call of 31 March, 2007 be adopted."
Motion D5-06-03 "That the Trainer position on the Coaching Chart in ORA binder be changed to read "C1 or CSI + First Aid."
Motion D5-06-04 "That on Coaching Chart under AA (Tween to Open) + AAA under "New" change chart to read: "C1 Certified with an asterisk" clarify at bottom to read "C1 Certified means – C1 trained and evaluations + gradation and evaluation + ethics – online course completed."
Motion D5-06-05 "That we change the "Assistant Coach in Training" to reflect the level of play of the team (s)he is coaching on. "These people can be on the bench during sanctioned events if they are CSI or CI trained (depending on the team level of play) and the bench staff doesn’t exceed the maximum."
Motion D5-06-06 "That N10 be changed from Rank 5 to Rank 9."
Motion D5-06-07 "That Derek Burger be awarded Provincial Official of the Year."
Motion D5-06-09 "That ORA support the proposed rule changes submitted by the Rules Committee to Ringette Canada."
Motion D5-06-10 "That Patricia Burke be recommended for the Provincial Contribution Award – Adult."
Motion D5-06-11 "That remove Intent to Proceed to CRC/TECC, form E/F/01."
Motion D5-06-12 "That London be accepted as the first Challenge Cup tournament – November 2007, pending approval of G&T."
Motion D5-06-17 "That replace bullet "To be eligible to attend…with G&T approval" with "To be eligible to attend a Provincial event, Tween through Open teams must have attended two (2) ORA sanctioned events at the appropriate level one (1) of which must be out of region, a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the first day of the provincial event (A, AA or Provincial Petite) in which they are intending to participate. Northeast and Northwest teams exempt with G&T approval. Teams must provide confirmation of acceptance in two (2) tournaments to meet this requirement by Feb. 1st or your Regional Rep selection process, whichever comes first. To be eligible to attend a Provincial event, Provincial Petite teams must have attended two (2) ORA sanctioned events at the appropriate level one (1) of which must be out of region, up to and including the January G&T meeting weekend. Northeast and Northwest teams exempt with G&T approval. Provincial Petite Seeding of teams is described in Section 2.b.iii" delete bullet "Following applies to …for seeding purposes."
Motion D5-06-18 "That the "AA" Provincial Championships be held Mar. 5-8/09 and the "A" Championships be held Mar. 19-22/09" and "That Membership Notice to be sent out for applications to host the 2009 A and AA Provincials with June 30/07 as the deadline."
Motion D5-06-21 "That the words "Regional B and C" be inserted in #1.1.iv after "Seeding of" of G&T section of the Operating Manual."
Motion D5-06-23 "That page 3 – 2.c.ii – change first sentence to read "The option for priority between the two teams is defined on the Two-Team Player Agreement Form". This would require a change in the wording on the Agreement Form as well as the Operating Manual on form G&T-F-02 – change #3 first sentence to read "The option of priority is between the two teams as defined in the following Agreement between both coaches and players/parents."
Motion D5-06-25 "That delete sentence under Registration heading and replace with "The filing of the Intent to Proceed Form with the required fee constitutes registration for the event. All other rules and policies apply for qualification."
Motion D5-06-26 "That Section 5.a.i Playing Rules – make changes as per mark-up attached."
Motion D5-06-27 "That page 20 – section 5.f Tie Breaking Rules – to add "(with the highest value being the higher ranked team)" to #5 and #9."
Motion D5-06-28 "That page 20 – A.435.g.i – mini games change the words "that division" to "the tied teams."
Motion D5-06-31 "That each Association President must supply the Regional Membership Services Co-ordinator a summary of all players who have attended a tryout held by the Association and a list of all players for whom the Association has authorized by way of Tryout Release Form M/F/07 to participate in a tryout with another association. The timeline for providing these lists will be determined by the Regional Membership Services Co-ordinator."
Motion D5-06-32 "That the Membership Services section 7a be amended as follows: "Player relocation occurs when there is a change of player’s boundaries due to: i) Education Relocation (proof of fulltime registration is required with a letter from the institution indicating current residential address, ii) Permanent Primary Resident Relocation (proof of permanent residence change must be provided by the player to the satisfaction of the Membership Services Co-ordinator), and that the Player Relocation Form (M/F/18) should be amended with a note, in the box labelled "Change of Address is due to:", as follows: "Refer to Membership Services section of the ORA Operating Manual – section 7a. Any two of the following are required identification: Permanent Drivers Licence; utility bill with residential address (rental properties not applicable); OHIP with photo; or school registration with residential address."
Motion D5-06-33 "That the Membership Services section 8.a.vi should be amended as follows: "The approved release shall expire at the completion of the player’s current playing season."
Motion D5-06-35 "That Section 9 of Membership Services be amended to add a new subsection b) as follows: "Any player contesting an application for player release must be a Registered Member of their home association and provide proof thereof (for the season in which the release is being requested), and that the existing subsection b) and subsequent subsections be renumbered accordingly."
Motion D5-06-36 "That a new paragraph be added to Section 8.a.xii be added as follows: "Where level of play is offered, a player must attend Provincial tryouts in their home association. If the level of play is not offered in their home association, the player must attend Provincial tryouts at the next closest association. Any player not meeting this standard will not be allowed to play at the provincial level for the current season."
Motion D5-06-37 "That the Jackie Lajeunesse Scholarship Award winners be: Samantha Renaud and Bryanna Kelly."
Motion D5-06-38 "That the form "Application to Host a AAA Challenge Cup" be added to the appendices in the Operating Manual as attached."
Motion D5-06-39 "That ORA accept as a new association Belleville and Area Ringette Association as a new member of ORA."
Motion D5-06-40 "That the following be inducted into the ORA Hall of Fame as Provincial Builders: Keith Kaiser and Bill Fryer. That the following be inducted as Community Builders: Ben Rafuse, Rhonda Fisher, Dave Kelton, Dave Larochelle, Doug Freeman, Bob Clements, Ken Rowe, Scott Sullivan, Jim File and Karen Cook."
