On-Ice Evaluations
Scheduling Competition Introduction #1(CI-1) and
Competition Introduction #2 (CI-2) (On-Ice) Evaluations:

To become CERTIFIED, coaches are required to be evaluated on-ice after the clinics have been completed:

Option #1 – If you intend to become CI Certified, it’s recommended that you request an evaluation after completing the CI clinic.

Option #2 – If you intend to become CI Certified, it’s recommended that you request an evaluation after completing both the CI-1 Clinic and CI-2 Clinic. You will be completing both the CI-1 and CI-2 evaluations on the same day. This will save you money, and the evaluator time and travel.

Option #3 – If you choose to upgrade from CI to CI Certified (and you have completed the CI- 1 evaluation), request a CI- 2 evaluation after completing the CI-2 clinic.

CI and CI-2 evaluations can be completed together (if the CI clinic was taken within one season of the CI-2). Note: The cost of the CI-1 and CI-2 is $50 per evaluation. When completing both together, the cost is $75.

What to do:
Coach:
  • Complete the request form (available online).
  • Submit the request along with appropriate fee (by cheque made payable to the Ontario Ringette Association) to the ORA office.
  • Complete the evaluation(s) at the scheduled time.

    • Administration:

  • Notify the appropriate regional Coaching Coordinator, who will assign a Coaching Evaluator.
  • The Evaluator will contact the coach to schedule a time to complete the evaluation(s).
  • When the documentation is received – Notify the coach of the results and record the information in the database and arrange payment for the Evaluator.

    • Evaluator:

  • Upon completion of the evaluation(s), the Evaluator will send the documentation and expense claim to the ORA office.
